What to include in an estimate
A useful estimate identifies the customer, describes the proposed work, lists quantities and rates, shows taxes or fees, and states how long the price is valid. Add assumptions and exclusions in the terms area so the customer understands the scope.
Estimate versus invoice
An estimate is a proposed price before approval. It normally does not request immediate payment. Once the customer accepts the work, create an invoice using the agreed items and prices.
